We began gathering this collection of perspectives back in 2024. Both those times and these feel marked by acute flux and deep stagnation, by tension, friction, and paradox; by a liminality where we are neither here nor there, but perhaps standing at a threshold.

With curiosity and intention, we set out to create this issue to explore the INBETWEEN and its relationship with community and culture.

We hold these pages for those open to the plurality of possibilities: the seed-keepers and soil-tenders, the community builders and storytellers, the culture weavers and edge walkers, the DIY collectives, the dreamers, the schemers, and the organisers — all those at the edges of worldmaking, without whom this work would not be possible.
